To Whom It May Concern:
I have been preparing for the day I submitted my first application to Google ever since Monday, November 6th when they came to Santa Clara University and gave a professionals talk about Google technology and life as an employee. I left the presentation incredibly inspired and knew that I had to look deeper into what Google is and what it represents. Don’t get me wrong I am not a new comer to Google and the plethora of tools it has brought to the public for free. I just never thought about working there until that day.
When I came across the posting for a Corporate Environmental Programs Associate I was really excited that such a unique and outstanding position was available. Originally form Oregon, I have always had a great sense for environmental preservation and self-sustainable living. Many of my friends often come to me with computer and other technical related question. This also means that I have been their source for recycling their tech-trash. Many people still don’t understand what to do with batteries when they go bad.
My interest in topics of environmental concern is quite extensive from electric cars to cutting edge technology using thin-film solar cells. I am always doing product research and reading the internet to learn as much as I can. I tend to be a deep thinker in that way. Problems are hardly ever solved in an instant. It is usually many coordinated instances that achieve results. To proceed and find positive solutions you must regularly take inventory and proceed forward knowing what the benefits and risks are.
It is my understanding that Google wants exceptional people to work in an exceptional environment. The challenge is not just finding exceptionally intelligent people, but finding the right kind of person that you like, understands the culture, and is exceptionally intelligent.
My resume, when read like stats on the back of a baseball card might give you some impressive information to the diversity of my skills. To understand how I bring them all together and create the great player everyone wants on their team, I invite you to see my online resume at http://www.bengreer.com and also visit my personal page.
I will end this with a quote: (read more at: http://www.bengreer.com/spiritofkungfu.html )
“Mere technical knowledge is only the beginning of Kung Fu.
To master it, one must enter into the spirit of it”

I look forward to any opportunity you might have to discuss my qualifications or answer any questions.
Thank You,
